"I started tracking with my dog a few years ago and loved it..."

I started tracking with my dog a few years ago and loved it. Since then she has gotten slow and not wanting to track 500 yards due to health reasons. I wanted to continue to track with her and found Nose Work to be the best sport for the both of us. She can use her nose to track both inside and outside and she still gets excited about tracking. I think Nose Work is the best sport for me and my dog. We both enjoy it, it’s easy to get started and stay with. We have been through the basic class and then the odor class. I recommend it to all my tracking friends.

"..Absolutely the best! .."

I want to take this opportunity to thank the new business in town, located on Main Street (across the street from the dollar store), yes, that’s right The Doggie Spot.

Talk about a great place for your dog needs. Taco, my dog, and I signed up for the Doggie Manners class. What an experience for my dog. He learned how to walk with me without bothering strangers along the way. How to sit on command, leave it command and wait at the door command. Also, the class taught the owner many dog tips that will allow me to continue training at home. After the second week, Taco got excited when we arrived for more training at The Doggie Spot. Finally, a place to take your dog to learn from the best dog trainer in this area.

Oh, I almost forgot… they groom dogs too.

Supplies, oh yes… a dog’s dream come true for a new collar or just about anything that you might need for your pet. The training area is very, very clean with a welcome appearance. A large variety of dog food is available. All questions about dogs can be answered by the instructor, who has incredible credentials. Dog owners, I hope that you check out The Doggie Spot on Main Street and decide for yourself whether or not it is a dog haven.

In conclusion, The Doggie Spot I highly recommend. Whether it is for training or dog supplies, check out The Doggie Spot and see for yourself why you should consider the new business in town, The Doggie Spot. Absolutely the best!

Thank you for opening your place of business in Shawnee, Oklahoma. A dog service we definitely need.

"..immediate calm and confidence I felt with the surroundings and with the groomer was tremendous..."

This was our first time to use a groomer. I originally had an appointment at Pet Smart because I had a coupon. After showing up my gut just said “leave”, so I got in my car and made an appointment based off my friends post on Facebook and how much they’ve appreciated The Doggie Spot. So glad I did!! The immediate calm and confidence I felt with the surroundings and with the groomer was tremendous. Very personable and engaging. In contrast to my experience walking into pet-smart this was her wanting to know more from my end what I wanted/needed/expected rather than just quickly telling me what they were going to do. Darwin was very happy and chill when I picked him up, it was obvious he had been well taken care of. And he looked FABULOUS! (Ps, difference in me using a coupon at Pet Smart and going to a caring recommended groomer: $5, absolutely worth it)

Behavior Consulting

"..She is easy to talk to and always had something funny to say..."

We looked for a trainer online and found Khara. She always had an open ear and was more than happy to answer all those questions we had about solving our dog’s aggression problem. She is easy to talk to and always had something funny to say. We exchanged many emails about homework, what changed and what did not change. I really liked working with her and would contact her again if we needed her. I am not sure if my Snickerdoodle sees it the same way though, because he did not appreciate her coming into his space and he made that clear by nipping her in the butt the first day. Luckily that did not impress her and she kept working with us. Now, Snickerdoodle accepts strangers and enjoys a nice Bar-B-Que. A big thank you to you Khara! It was great meeting you.

"..Khara seemed to implement training that made things seem so easy...."

Buster, a spaniel, learning patience.“When I first came to Khara, I was frustrated with a hyper dog that had major anxiety if he was not with me. He didn’t do well with change and he did things he shouldn’t when he didn’t have full control over the situation or of me. He’d shred pillows, and potty in front of me just to show me he could. He’d even push my granddaughter down because she got so much affection from me. I guess I was his human. However, now he’s my dog instead. That’s a big difference. Training me to train my dog is equally important. I guess you could say it’s a family affair. In hind sight, Khara seemed to implement training that made things seem so easy. The simplest things made such a huge difference in both of us. To date, Buster does excellent when I leave him. I have no more shredded pillows or intentional potty on the carpet. And the last time my granddaughter came to visit, his possessiveness over me was non- existent. Thank you Khara!

"..I am very proud to say that Lilly is no longer the dreaded ‘terror of the dog park’ that she was before..."

Before I started working with Khara, I was ready to try to find a new home for Lilly. After months of trying to correct her behavior on my own, she still lashed out at other dogs with little or no provocation and turned on me when I tried to stop her. Even though she was only seven months old and weighed thirty-five pounds, I was terrified of my dog. When I first started working with Khara, I still did not have much hope that Lilly’s behavior would change, but I have never been happier to be completely wrong. By consistently using the training techniques Khara specifically tailored to my situation with Lilly and having a multiple dog house, Lilly has become a completely different puppy. With Khara’s lessons in positive reinforcement, Lilly and I learned to trust rather than fear each other and are able to work together a thousand times better than we did before. Because of my work with Khara, I have learned to stay calm while working with Lilly so that she, in turn, stays calm and focused on the lesson. I am very proud to say that Lilly is no longer the dreaded ‘terror of the dog park’ that she was before, and she continues to improve every day!

"..Leila has come a long way from being a terrified foster dog.."

Leila has come a long way from being a terrified foster dog to a more confident canine who may be adoptable in the near future (Some thing that was far from certain in the beginning). Khara’s been a terrific trainer and resource for making that possible. Thank you. Update… Leila got adopted to a family in May!
